GENERAL
INFORMATION
As you may have already noticed, this
website contains a whole lot of information - some of which
you may want to print out or save on your own computer.
The purpose of this page is to give you a few hints on how
you can do this. Most of the steps you will need are
listed below, but if you have any other queries, or even if
you have some information you would like added to this site,
you can email me by clicking here.
TO PRINT A WHOLE CHAPTER:
If you would like to print an entire page of
information, you should be able to click on an icon in the
toolbar at the top of your window that says "Print".
Usually, this icon is a picture of a printer.
Alternatively, you can select File, and then Print
from the drop-down menu.
TO PRINT A SELECTION OF A CHAPTER:
You can do this one of two ways.
EXAMPLE ONE:
1. Highlight the area you wish to
print by holding down the left mouse button at the start of the selection you wish to print,
dragging it to the end of the selection and then releasing the mouse button.
2. Click File and select Print
from the drop-down menu.
3. In the window that appears, make sure
"Selection" is selected.
4. Click "Print" or "OK".
EXAMPLE TWO:
For this example, you will need a word processor such as
Microsoft Works, Word, Corel WordPerfect or Wordpad.
1. Highlight the area you wish to print by
holding down the left mouse button at the start of the selection you wish to print,
dragging it to the end of the selection and then releasing the mouse button.
2. Click Edit and select Copy
from the drop-down menu.
3. Paste your copied text into your word
processor. Most word processors will follow this same method:
-
Click the Paste icon in the toolbar at the top of the
document OR
Click Edit and select Paste from the drop-down
menu.
-
Click File and select Print from the drop-down
menu.
-
In the window that appears, click "Print" or "OK".
TO SAVE A CHAPTER TO YOUR COMPUTER:
To do this you will again need a word processor such as
Microsoft Works, Word, Corel WordPerfect or Wordpad.
1. Highlight the area you wish to save
by holding down the left mouse button at the start of the selection you wish to save, dragging
it to the end of the selection and then releasing the mouse button.
2. Click Edit and select Copy
from the drop-down menu.
3. Paste your copied text into your word
processor. Most word processors will follow this same method:
-
Click the Paste icon in the toolbar at the top of the
document OR
Click Edit and select Paste from the drop-down
menu.
-
Click File and select Save from the drop down
menu.
-
In the window that appears, type a name for your document
and click
"Save" or "OK". Make sure you save the document in a location
that is
easily accessible,
i.e. the Desktop.
